Mobile social networking is definitely about to hit mainstream. Trutap, the UK-based social network where I work, has seen huge growth in the past 12 months, especially in Asia, and we're predicting take-up to accelerate further in 2008/9. I wouldn't call this growth 'modest' by any stretch of the imagination.
