Zabitatz.com today announced its public launch. Zabitatz.com is the first social media site for home design, providing a platform for women to see, source, and share advice, insight and inspiration on home design. Through aggregating the insight of its members, Zabitatz.com allows the pizzazz energy, vitality, style & flair of fabulous home design to emerge.

To celebrate the site launch, Zabitatz announces Zabbys Wacky Tacky Home Design Disasters, a contest where members are invited to post photos or videos of decorating mishaps for a chance to win their mortgage payments of $1200 a month (up to $14,400 for the year). Members are encouraged to upload visual evidence of the worst theyve seen in home design to the Zabitatz.com site. Zabber votes will narrow the entries down to five finalists, based on five categories. Zabbers will then vote to choose the worst of the worst the wackiest, tackiest home design disaster! Entries are being accepted until December 17th, and the grand prize winner will be announced during the week of February 9th, 2009.

I couldnt wait to become a member when a friend told me about Zabitatz.com. Im working on several projects around my home, and really value the feedback of other women when Im choosing things like paint colors, appliances and furniture, said Jennifer Mortensen, Zabitatz member.

Zabitatz.com features forums and groups to encourage the community to engage in conversation with others working on similar home projects, with source pages where Zabbers can access expert advice on a wide variety of topics. Zabbers are encouraged to share photos and video of design projects to inspire and jumpstart creativity.
